Born in Bahia, Rosenildo da Silva França, or DJ Splinter, began his career in the 80s as a resident DJ in nightclubs Close-up and Tropicália in Salvador, spinning Disco and House Music. Since then, he has always remained a DJ.
In the 90s, he was a resident DJ at Padang-Padang, Steel DJ, and many more. DJ Splinter honed his skill playing House Music, organizing, and performing at major events like Salute Yemanja. Whether it's House, Techno, Hard House, Minimal, Lounge, or MPB, he's a master at mixing any musical styles. He was twice consecutively named the best DJ in Bahia by Correio da Bahia.
In the early 2000s, as well as being a resident at Super Clubs Breezes Costa do Sauípe and at Resort Hotel Praia do Forte, he participated in significant events. At the Cine Rio Vermelho venue, he was tasked with opening for famous Brazilian bands. He was a highlight at festivals where he was invited: Vivo no Verão (Vivo), Maxitel Beach (Frog), DJ Go Play (Ballantine’s), Red Bull Summer Festival, Trance Festival in Chapada Diamantina, Miss Modular, Rock in Rio, and more...
He also played for the Barra fashion parade (Frog) and for the Skate world cup in Salvador (Red Bull). He took part in the Bahia carnival too. He has performed alongside Carlinhos Brown and Olodum. He was also invited to be a resident on a Sunday program for TV Bandeirantes.
In 2005, he moved to Barcelona and quickly became a guest in numerous bars and nightclubs like Pacha Beach Bar, Chiringuito 23, City Hall, Lola, Bikini, as well as on other more underground tours like Pery IV. He was invited to perform at Menorca Santa Sassinia, Ibiza Guaraná, Minimal, and Girona La Mirona. He also spent 3 years in Italy playing at Discoteca TAM-TAM (Verbania), I’ldrovolante (Stresa), Savoy (Stresa).
In 2009, Splinter returned to Spain, represented by the Free Party Club collective, playing at festivals and nightclubs such as Moog, Princesa23, Festival Lilliput, Festival Dia de Brasil in Catalonia, Begood Club, Becool, Razzmatazz, and more.
